Rapid Roy In The Pokey?

Rapid Roy, the rocket boy
flew way beyond the stars.
When he came home he was grounded
for flying off too far.

What's this, our young hero grounded for flying too far away from home? Oh my, I heard his mother sent him to bed without his supper too.

The Adventurers Of Rapid Roy, The Rocket Boy have been brought to you by your math teacher, who asked us to remind you that your homework assignment is due in tomorrow morning. What's that? You haven't done your homework. Then why are you wasting your time reading Rapid Roy?

The Continuing Adventurers of Rapid Roy
The Rocket Boy Goes Home

Rapid Roy, he flies through space
on his amazing rocket wings,
doing things we cannot do,
going where we’ve not been,
but every night ‘round supper time,
Rapid Roy, he flies back home
‘cause Roy, he don’t know how to cook
or live out on his own.

Wow, could it be that even a hero like Rapid Roy, The Rocket Boy needs his mom and dad just like other kids? I guess it’s true, even super heros need their super moms.

Roy’s New Toy

Rapid Roy, the Rocket Boy
asked his mother for a new toy.
“But you’ve got a rocket,” his mother said,
“now say your prayers and go to bed.”


What’s this? Could it be that even our hero, Rapid Roy, the Rocket Boy, has to say his prayers before he goes to bed? Does she make him wash behind his ears too? Come back next time when we hear Roy say,

“Now I lay me down to sleep,
God give me a new toy this week...
a-men”

The Continuing Adventures Of Rapid Roy
Late For School

Rapid Roy, the Rocket Boy
left late one day, for school,
saying, “Today I’ll ride my rocket wings,”
but his wings were out of fuel.

Oh no! Rapid Roy, Rocket Boy late for school! What will his friends say? What will his teacher say? What will the Principal say? And even worse, what will Roy’s mother say when she finds out? Oh my! Come back next time when we hear Roy say, “But I filled them up three million miles ago, how could I be out of fuel already?

And Roy’s mother says, “Out of fuel or not, if you’re late for school one more time you’re grounded, Young man!”

The Continuing Adventures Of Rapid Roy
The Big Rocket Race

Rapid Roy, he planned to race
a rocket race in Outer space.
Was then his mother called him in,
said, “I’d best not catch you racing again!”


And that brings us to the end of yet another episode in the Adventures of Rapid Roy, the Rocket Boy. Come back next time when we hear Roy say, “But Mom, it was just a race to Alpha Centauri and back. I wasn’t going to get in any trouble.”

And Roy’s mom says, “Yeah, right!”

Rapid Roy Meets Rocket Joy

Rapid Roy, the Rocket Boy
met a girl named, Rocket Joy.
Joy, she was the sweetest thing,
and Rapid Roy, his heart did sing.
He said to her, “Please be my gal.
We’ll fly away the best of pals.”
But then he heard her mother say,
“Roy, come back another day.”

Wow, Rapid Roy gets cut off by her mother, and just when it looked as if Rocket Joy was about to say, yes. Bummer. Come back next time when we hear Joy’s mother say, “That Roy is much too wild for you to be hanging around with, Young Lady. And he’s strange too.”

The Continuing Adventures Of Rapid Roy
Rock Hard Rocket Candy

Rapid Roy, the Rocket Boy,
he flew to school one day,
but stopped to get some candy
at a store along the way.
But then come tell the lunchroom bell
Roy didn’t have a dime
and on fingers, Roy, he crunched
as he had no lunch
and went hungry a long time.

What’s this? Rapid Roy’s sugar rush didn’t last him all day. Bummer! Come back next time when we hear Roy’s mother say, “Rapid Roy, how many times have I told you not to leave your rocket laying in the driveway. Your father just ran over it with the car and he’s really steamed so I’m sending you to bed without your supper, young man.”

Shiny Things

Rapid Roy, The Rocket Boy,
he loved his shiny things
and every time he heard of more
he flew his rocket wings,
but shiny things or rocket dreams
sometimes can be too far,
and Rocket Boy flew far away
to see a distant star.

That, my friends, concludes yet another exciting episode of The Adventures Of Rapid Roy, The Rocket Boy, brought to you in-part by Larry’s Soda Pop. No, Larry doesn’t sell soda pop, but his dad does and Larry wants a new skateboard so drink lots of Larry’s Dad’s soda pop. Come back next time when we hear Roy say, “I knew I should of made a left turn at Jupiter. I wonder where I’m at this time?”

And Jupiter says..... Okay, so Jupiter’s a planet and planets can’t talk, but if Jupiter could talk he’d probably say... Okay, so I don’t know that either.

but Glory was but down the street,
and thought him silly for his feat.

This has been another okay, the first, spine tingling adventure of Rapid Roy, The Rocket Boy, brought to you in-part by Stinky Wilson and his buddies down at the Lollipop Lounge where everyone eats all the lollipops they want until all their teeth rot.
